NHL Keon Hockey Pool

The 2026 Keon Hockey Pool is on!

Puck drop! Welcome to year 24 of the pool. Rosters are locked, the bracket is set, and the chase for the Cup — and for the top of the standings — starts now. Sixteen teams, two months, one trophy. Let's go.

The biggest story of 2026? The back-to-back champion Florida Panthers missed the playoffs entirely. After raising the Cup in both 2024 and 2025, Florida couldn't find the form this season — and their absence blows the Eastern Conference wide open. Meanwhile, Edmonton is back for another run after losing to Florida in the last two Finals, Colorado and Vegas look as loaded as ever, and this year there's no defending champion in the way.

Check out the 2026 bracket and see how you stack up against the field in the live standings, updated daily from nhl.com.

Pool Information and Rules

Here you will find information on the pool, as well as the rules governing this pool...

This pool has been running since 2001, bringing together hockey fans from across Canada for 24 years of playoff excitement (with off years in 2005 for the NHL lockout and 2020 for COVID-19)! We have 48 participants this year.

Rules

Each participant chooses a combination of 15 players and goalies from any combination of playoff teams. Winners will be determined based on the sum of total points accumulated throughout the 4 rounds of the playoffs by their chosen players and goalies.

Only choose players from teams that actually make the playoffs and do not choose the same player more than once since we will only count his points once.

Points are awarded as follows:

  • 1 point for each goal or assist by a selected player/goalie
  • 5 points for each shutout by a selected goalie

Notes about goalie shutouts:

  • If a goalie is involved in a 0-0 tie in regulation time, he will only be credited with a shutout if he maintains the shutout during the overtime.
  • If two goalies share a shutout during the same game, the points will be awarded to the starting goalie only.

Winnings

The entry fee is $20 per participant, which means there is $960 to go to the winners. 100% of the entry fee is paid out to the winners. The money is paid out as follows:

Place Percentage Amount
1st Place 50% $480
2nd Place 30% $288
3rd Place 20% $192
